The ISDRA Common Sense Access Coalition (ICSAC) is dedicated to the restoration of motorized access to the Imperial Sand Dunes through data-driven management, the preservation of American military heritage, and the rejection of "sue and settle" era bureaucracy.
Our Core Objectives:
Federal Delisting of the PMV: We advocate for the formal delisting of the Peirson’s Milk-vetch (PMV) from the Endangered Species Act. The "Post-RAMP Reality" of 2020–2024 proves the species is resilient and thrives in the dynamic dune environment, rendering its "threatened" status a relic of obsolete science and litigation.
Total Access South of Highway 78: We advocate for the full reopening of all currently closed areas south of Highway 78 to motorized recreation. These lands belong to the American people and should not be locked away based on 13-year-old administrative compromises.
Restore the Patton Valley Corridor (PVC): We advocate for the reopening of the PVC by Veteran’s Day 2026 as a living memorial to the 3rd Army and a celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary.
Historical Preservation: We commit to identifying, protecting, and educating the public on the historical artifacts and training sites within the dunes, ensuring that the legacy of General Patton and his troops is never forgotten.
Responsible Expansion: We support the expansion of recreational boundaries in a manner that promotes rider safety, provides sustainable "wide-open" corridors, and utilizes modern mapping technology to navigate the dunes freely.
Implement Executive Order 14313: We serve as a primary stakeholder for the "Make America Beautiful Again" Commission, ensuring that the BLM cuts red tape and prioritizes the expansion of outdoor recreation as mandated by the President.
Defend Public Access: We stand against the legacy of regulatory overreach that has stripped families and veterans of their right to explore the public lands that belong to them.
"Uniting our heritage with our future to keep the dunes open for all."
