Welcome

I am a Senior Economist in the Development Impact, Development Economics Group at the World Bank. 

I lead the Development Impact Social Protection & Jobs program. I conduct applied economic and policy research related to Adaptive Social Protection, Risk and Climate Resilience; Poverty Reduction and Economic Inclusion; as well as Human Capital, Skills and Labor. 

I analyze the effectiveness of policies to achieve the sustainable development goals, often embedding experiments in large-scale interventions in close collaboration with practitioners. 

My research has been published in journals such as The Review of Economic Studies, Nature, American Economic Review: Insights, Economic Journal, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management,...

Besides research and analytics, I have led policy dialogue and technical assistance activities, as well as worked on the design, implementation and management of a range of World Bank operations.

I am currently based in the World Bank Geneva Office. 

I have previously held positions at the World Bank Social Protection & Jobs group of the Africa region, the Human Development Economics Unit of the Africa region, the Office of the Chief Economist for Human Development, and the Poverty Unit of the Latin America and Caribbean region. 

I hold a Licence in Economics from HEC Lausanne, a MSc in Economics for Development and a DPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford.
