Wednesday, June 26th, members of the Pathfinder community gave statements at the Seattle Schools Board meeting. A link to the video and times of each speaker available on the Media page.
Thursday, June 27th, members of the Core Planning team met with Seattle Schools board member Gina Topp regarding our concerns with PF Administration and the lack of communication and response from Director Carter or Superintendent Jones. Director Topp encouraged the community to continue demanding answers through email and the Superintendent Contact Form.
Friday, June 28th, this email was sent to Superintendent Jones asking for updates on Pathfinder Administration

We had a strong showing of support for change at Pathfinder at the Seattle School Board meeting. We are so proud of all students, staff, and community members who stood up and voiced their concerns. New page launched of timelines compiled from parents across multiple grades at Pathfinder K-8 showing not just a long history of dysfunction, lack of care and communication, inability to deal with safety concerns, refusal of IEP/504 services from Pathfinder Administration but also a refusal by SPS to hold Admin accountable.

Pathfinder families will be needed in force at the Seattle School Board Meeting ath the John Stanford Center for Educational Excellence (2445 3rd Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134). Plan to arrive before 4:15 to park and make sure you're connected with the Pathfinder community and show support for our speakers! If you have Pathfinder gear, please show out! If you don't have Pathfinder gear, show up in our school colors, red and black!

An email was sent to families from Chris Carter stating that Dr. Holmes would be on FMLA until the end of the school year. Daxa Thomas will be acting principal.

An email with a summary of events and next action was mailed to the 450+ that have opted into receiving communications.
Spanish and Somali translations of the Letter to Our Community have been posted.

Today the request for resignation, along with with 311 signatures, was delivered to Pathfinder Administration via email and in person. Chris Carter and Dr. Brent Jones were CCed on the email. The petition is still open for signatures.

Read and sign our letter requesting resignation and reassignment of the current administration and replacement with a new team, one with a dedicated and demonstrated commitment to the safety and well-being of all our students and teachers.
Signatures collected via this form are privileged and confidential. No names, student grades, or other personal or potentially personally identifying information will be posted anywhere. Signatures delivered to Pathfinder Administration and SPS Administration on 5/15 were done with clear language about the privileged and confidential nature of these signatures.
