Review Process

Research articles accepted for possible publication should embody and reflect the objectives of the organization, which is primarily to promote the development of Home Economics in the Philippines particularly in state colleges and universities through education, research, or extension service related to individuals, families, and households. The articles submitted for publication to the PATHESCU Journal undergo double blind peer review process. Submitted articles are initially evaluated for acceptance and review. Once it passes initial review, it will be forwarded to the peer reviewers without the names of the authors. A pool of expert reviewers from the home economics discipline and related fields are invited to review the submitted articles. 

The review decision can either be non-acceptance/rejection, acceptance with minor revision, or acceptance with major revision. Evaluation of the articles, including comments from the reviewers are collated and returned to authors. Articles with major revisions are retuned to the reviewers for another set of review. An iterative review process may follow until the articles satisfy the publication requirement in terms of academic paper quality. All revised articles will then be subjected to a final review. 

A certificate of peer review may be provided to authors as requested. 

A minimal fee, as editorial fee (Php2,500), will be charged against the submitting author/s. Upon payment, e-mail screenshot of Gcash payment or scanned validated payment/deposit slip to pathescu@gmail.com and/or pathescu.journal@gmail.com. The payment options are provided below.
