About Philippine Association for Technology in Home Economics of State Colleges and Universities, Inc.

PATHESCU, Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit organization of home economists and practitioners in related fields who are affiliated in state colleges and universities.

Formerly, Philippine Association for Home Economics in State Colleges and Universities (PAHESCU, Inc.), it was founded by home economists from the University of the Philippines led by former Dean of the College Home Economics, the late Professor Lydia Arribas and Dr. Elsa Orlina. Now, it has grown to a national scale and is an official institutional member of the Asian Regional Association for Home Economics (ARAHE) and a number of its members are also members of the International Federation for Home Economics (IFHE).

Annually, the members of the organization convene for a general membership meeting and research conference.  The organization also conducts training or seminar-workshop and various extension activities that promote the development of home economics and its professionals as well as those we serve - the families and consumers.
