THE ARC OF KNOWLEDGE
THE ARC OF KNOWLEDGE
In the book, the main arc we follow is the arc of knowledge, which has a correspondence to one of the four Hindu margas (the Jnana Yoga, the yoga of knowledge):
senses -> belief -> knowledge -> gnosis -> understanding -> wisdom -> truth -> faith
The path of senses is the ordinary, everyday life.
The path of belief is about walking a religious or science (religion of scientism) path.
The path of knowledge is where one leaves the mundane life behind and starts asking questions.
The path of gnosis is the path of self-deification, walked by studying esoteric knowledge.
The path of understanding is about focusing on differences, asking "how?", and experiencing enlightenment.
The path of wisdom is about focusing on similaritires, asking "why?", and experiencing gradual awakening.
The path of truth is the path of freedom, with the ultimate goal being freedom from the samsara.
The path of faith is fueled by trust, signs, and wonders.
