Open Positions

Submissions are due March 26th at 5:00PM.

The new board members will be announced at our April 13th general meeting.

General Board Member

Each of the open board member positions is a two-year commitment, with a possibility of running again to serve up to two more two-year terms. Please note which school you will be representing in the proper field below. We strive for representation from each school and will fill the position accordingly.

Vice President

The vice president/president/president emeritus position is a three-year commitment, with the elected person serving their first year as vice president, the next year as president, and the third year as president emeritus.

Secretary

Responsibilities include taking notes at meetings, updating PASI's quarterly newsletter, updating forms and operating Clickbid (the software PASI uses for Great Gatherings). The secretary is a two-year commitment, with a possibility of running and serving up to two, two-year terms.

Welcome Liaison for New Teachers

The Welcome Liaison for New Teachers involves organizing a group of volunteers to help new teachers settle into Sioux Falls. Tasks include providing airport rides, assisting with finding rental homes or apartments, and helping with the moving process. The committee head coordinates these efforts to ensure a smooth transition for new teachers.

Historian

This person keeps track of the comings and goings of the teachers/interns in the program, as well as pertinent info throughout the year. We have a binder of relevant info from the beginning of the program. Referencing school board minutes for notes and info, it's a great low commitment way for you to stay in the loop. We do no currently have a historian so we'd love for someone to fill this role!
