Welcome to my personal academic webpage! Great that you have found your way here.
I am a Swiss PostDoc in Strategy at the University of Zurich with a PhD in Business & Economics (graduation: 2023). I was a visiting scholar at Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business in fall 2024 (invited by Pino Audia and Hart Posen) and a visiting fellow at HEC Paris in fall 2025 (invited by Georg Wernicke). As of summer 2026, I will join Frankfurt School of Finance & Management as an Assistant Professor.
I take on a behavioral approach to strategy and corporate governance. I focus on how social and cognitive forces affect the information processing and decision-making in the boardroom and c-suite and their impacts on organizations. Theoretically, my work is grounded in the Carnegie School perspective of decision-making. I specifically investigate:
Appointment decisions in the boardroom - such as CEO succession, CEO dismissal, and director appointments;
Strategic decisions in the c-suite - such as M&A, investment choices, and R&D investments and correponding outcomes.
I predominantly rely on quantitative methods with a focus on causal inference and fine-grained, hand-collected information on executives and directors. Several of my papers are currently under R&R in leading management journals (AMJ, JoM, SMJ).
