Entry Exams

Different programs have different requirements for entry exams. Some in the US only require the MCAT, while others opt to include other exams, and non-US programs have requirements of their own. Below are some of the most common exams!

• MCAT: A standardized assessment of knowledge and critical thinking

• CASPer: An online, scenario-based test assessing interpersonal skills and professionalism, required by some medical schools.

• PREview (AAMC Situational Judgment Test): Assesses applicants’ professional and ethical decision-making.

• UCAT (for UK Schools): An aptitude test for students applying to medical schools in the UK.

• BMAT (for UK and International Schools): A science and critical thinking test used by some medical schools.

• DAT (for Dentistry) & GRE (for PA/other health programs): Useful for students considering alternative healthcare paths.
