Memorial Guided Tour and One World Observatory

The Repercussions Workshop

This year Parkdale's HSEP Program brought 48 students to New York City to participate in a guided tour of the 9/11 Memorial and an educational workshop with the staff entitled Repercussions. Students met examined the exhibit in a structured way and reflected on what they learned in a guided discussion.


At Left students look a the Last Pillar which features messages of affirmation and community among surivors and first responders such as the one on the right. Students were also exposed to arifacts that demonstrate the anger and confusion over who is ownership of the consequences for the September the 11th attacks at the human scale.

One World Observatory

Students also caught a view of New York City and New Jersey from One World Observatory. This experience featured an augmented reality view with an IPAD using the See Forever App designed to inform the user of the details of important and historical sights the are seeing from the 102nd floor.
