Dr PAN Qianqian is an Education Research Scientist at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She received her Ph.D. degree from the Research, Evaluation, Measurement, and Statistics program in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Kansas, the USA, and her Master's and Bachelor's degrees from East China Normal University, China. She is trained in psychometrics and advanced statistical methodology with a focus on psychometrics and has extensive research experience in survey development and validation and large-scale data analysis. She has led the analyses and dissemination of findings in several large-scale survey studies. In collaboration with other colleagues, she has published six papers on parenting in the last three years.
As the PI, Dr. Pan has oversight of research activities, staff supervision, data collection and analyses, reporting, and writing.
Dr. WONG Hwei Ming

Dr. Wong Hwei Ming is a Senior Education Research Scientist and the Assistant Centre Director at the Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice (CRPP), National Institute of Education (NIE). Dr Wong holds a Ph.D. in Education and an M.A. in Applied Psychology (with a specialisation in Educational Psychology) from NIE, Nanyang Technological University (NTU). She also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (Primary) from NIE, NTU and a B.A. (Psychology) from The University of Queensland. She is an expert in the area of assessment practices and assessment literacy.
Dr. Wong will advise on interview protocols and survey instruments, reports, and manuscripts.
Dr. CHEUNG Hoi Shan

Dr. CHEUNG Hoi Shan is an Assistant Professor at the Psychology and Child & Human Development Academic Group at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University. Her current research focuses on the functional meaning of parenting practices in the Asian context and their impact on children’s self-regulation, academic achievement, and well-being. Her work includes investigating cultural differences in parenting styles and practices, how they affect parent-child relationship quality and, consequently, children’s development. Other research interests include parents’ use of disciplinary practices and corporal punishment and how parental support and parent-child attachment quality may lessen the impact of school bullying on students.
Dr. Cheung will contribute to study conceptualisation, interpretation of results, manuscript preparation, and translation of the findings for public education, advocacy, policy design, and practice.
Dr. GOH Hock Huan

Dr. GOH Hock Huan is an Education Research Scientist at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His expertise includes children's language use and school-based action research. He has experience conducting research in primary and secondary school contexts using qualitative and quantitative methods.
Dr. Goh will advise on interview protocols and survey instruments, reports, and manuscripts.
Dr. HUANG Qian (Cathy)

Dr. HUANG Qian (Cathy) is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities, Singapore University of Technology and Design. Her research expertise spans engineering education, design education and technology in higher education, where she excels in the application of qualitative research methods. Dr HUANG has led several projects using interviews and focus groups. Her contributions are underscored by the publication of high-impact peer-reviewed papers over the past three years.
Dr. Huang will provide expertise on developing interview protocols, conduct qualitative data analysis, and contribute to the production of various project deliverables.
YAP Pui San

YAP Pui San is a lecturer at the Centre for Educational Development (CED) at Republic Polytechnic (RP). She is involved in staff training in domains such as curriculum design and delivery, assessments, edtech and education research, taking on the roles of trainer, peer coach and assessor. She also serves in the Teaching and Learning Awards and Academic Research Fund (ARF) committees. Pui San is passionate about advancing education as a vehicle for social mobility for learners from all walks of life. She has experience in qualitative research methods and have published in high impact peer-reviewed papers.
Mrs. Yap will contribute to developing interview protocols, conducting qualitative data collection and analysis, and the production of various project deliverables.
Wendy HUANG
Senior Research Associate
Wendy HUANG is a research associate at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She is experienced in qualitative and ethnographic methods, generating findings from inductive analysis of themes and from deductive analysis using theory. Her research interests include computing education, computational thinking, and artificial intelligence literacy, alongside a passion for building equitable and inclusive learning environments for historically non-dominant students in computing. She has a Master's degree in Teaching from Pace University (New York, USA) and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Wheaton College (Illinois, USA).
Mrs. Huang will serve as the primary liaison with research participants, support the team in collecting, managing, and analyzing data, and contribute to the production of various project deliverables, including reports and dissemination of findings to stakeholders.
