PARADIGM MADRIGALS is a mature advanced choral class for SATB voices. Madrigal Singers must have excellent note reading ability,an understanding of music theory, basic sight reading skills, performance ability, and demonstrate a positive attitude about learning and singing. An extremely high level of citizenship, vocal ability, and attendance is expected. Madrigals perform significant choral literature from all periods and represent Paradigm High school in the community at a variety of community concerts. Madrigals is a significant time commitment. A costume is required.
Prerequisite: Directors approval and concurrent enrollment in A Capella.

6:30 Chaperones arrive at Paradigm
6:40 Singers arrive at Paradigm and load luggage into cars
6:45 to 7:00 warm up in choir room
7:05 Leave Paradigm and drive BYU (50 min drive)
Arrive by 7:50 at the Madsen recital hall on BYU Campus to work with Dr. Andrew Crane director of BYU singers
8:00 – 8:50 work with Dr. Crane
9:00 Leave for Hatton Hot Springs (1.35 hour drive)
10:45 arrive at hot springs near Meadow Utah. Swim. Sing. Eat Lunch (50 min)
11:30 Drive to Cedar City
2:00 HAMLET @ Randall Theater
5:00 Dinner in Cedar at a Restaurant
7:30 SUU Production of CORIOLANUS at Engelsted Theater

Afternoon: Free time at SUU and Madrigal class pictures on SUU Campus
SUU CHORAL WORKSHOP/CONCERT SCHEDULE
4:00-4:15 pm Warm up in Heritage Theater (off Campus) on Lower Level (LL)
4:15-5:00 pm Rehearse True Light with Opus (LL)
5:00-5:30 pm Vocal Ped. workshops with Dr. Johnson and Prof. Modesitt (SA/TB split)
5:30-6:00 pm Dinner Opus and HS students
6-6:30 pm SUU Opera solo vocal performances with Prof. Modesitt on Stage
6:30-7:00 pm Tutti Rehearse on stage
7:00-7:30 pm Dress and to seats for concert
7:30 Concert begins! (Estimated length of concert is 70 minutes).
After concert: Drive to caves! Explore Caves then go to bed.

Leave Cedar after Awards Ceremony
Arrive home sometime on Saturday night.
NOTE: We will not be meeting as a group at Paradigm when we return. Singers call your parents and be prepared to have them pick you up once you coordinate with your driver.
