Choir Auditions

Auditions for the 2018-2019 School year are happening now!

Auditions are Thursday May 17th and Tuesday May 22nd. Auditions are quick, see below for more information. I will post a list on this page between May 25th and June 1st. Remember if you are a female wanting to audition for A Capella, you need to bring a male singer to choir auditions with you, or have them sign up to be in Men's Chorus.

No audition necessary to be in Bel Canto or Men's Chorus. The choir classes will be held at the following times next year. (No changes from this year)

B1 Men's Chorus - no previous choir/instrumental experience required

B2 Bel Canto - no previous choir/instrumental experience required. (Women only)

B3 A Capella - Bel Canto, Men's Chorus, or other choir/music ensemble experience required. Audition required.

B4 Madrigals - Audition required. Singers must be enrolled in both A Capella and Madrigals concurrently

At the audition I will listen and look for the following things:

• Ability to match pitch
• Ability to remember musical phrases
• Willingness to work
• Overall singing potential
• Basic sight reading skills. i.e. can you tell when a note goes up or down or stays on the same note.
