International Student Competition on Fonts and Calligraphy Pangram
The International Student Competition on Fonts and Calligraphy Pangram is devoted to the popularization of the cultural traditions of the peoples of different countries, the advancement of modern calligraphy and typeface design among young people, enabling the students to grow professionally, revealing their creative abilities. Also, the Competition contributes to the exchange of experience of various calligraphy schools in Ukraine and other countries. Students, graduates and young designers from such countries as Poland, Ukraine, Armenia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Spain and many others take part in the competition.
Participants of the Competition may be students of higher education institutions, as well as graduates, young designers, students of private graphic design schools, font courses, etc.
Nominations

Every year a new main subject of the Competition is proposed.
I (2016) – The integration and interaction of different alphabets of the world.
II (2017) – Palindrome (number, word, phrase or text, which are read in the same way in both directions). The idea is cycling, rhythm, playing letters, words, phrases of the world that surrounds us.
III (2018) – Literature under the slogan "Read! Feel it! Interpret!" Visual interpretation of a literary work by means of font and calligraphy.
IV (2019/2020) – History of writing: personalities, events, milestones. The task is a visual interpretation of the significance of certain events and the influence of individuals on the development of writing systems of the peoples of the world and the development of font design as a whole.
V (2020/2021) – Alma Mater. Freedom in creativity — creativity in learning!
VI (2021/2022) – Philosophy of Existence!

Aleksandra Samuļenkova (Netherlands), type designer, she is native to Latin and Cyrillic and has a keen interest in the origins of typographic traditions within these scripts
Olga Severina (USA), graphic designer, Ph.D. in Visual Arts, founder and curator of a PosterTerritory, serves on a jury of a variety of international poster competitions in Poland, Italy, China, and Iran, authored books and catalogs on the contemporary poster as well as articles for design magazines
Liana Shushanyan (Armenia), interpreter, translator and type designer. Has been engaged in different type art projects such as "Granshan" international type design competition. Currently, working to maintain and develop the unique characteristics and the cultural heritage of Armenian typeface design

The Competition is organized in three stages:
- qualifying (held in higher education institutions among students who wish to participate in the Competition);
- intermediate (admission of works, registration of participants, selection of works by the Organizing Committee of the Competition, formation of the list of participants);
- final (jury work, announcement of results).
Works admitted to participation in the Competition must have a high level of presentation, relevant nominations and must comply with ethical norms. Works can be performed in Cyrillic, Latin or other system of the letter of choice of the participant, unless it is emphasized in special conditions by nominations. Each participant has the right to submit up to 3 works in each nomination. No author name is allowed at work!
Winners are awarded with of diplomas I–III degrees, all the participants get certificates. The winners may also be awarded honors, awards from the Organizing Committee, charitable foundations and sponsors of the Competition.
Participation in the competition is free of charge. The participant guarantees the authorship of his works.
According to the results of the competition, exhibitions of the best works are held. For example, at the final exhibition in 2016, one could see font works with alphabets such as Armenian, English, Ukrainian, Russian, Bulgarian and Vietnamese.
