Kincade Fire

11/5/19

2:00: Containment has increased by 4%, and the size remains the same.

11/4/19

12:30: The Kincade fire has burned 77,758 acres, but firefighters have increased containment to 80%.

10/31/19

12:30: Containment of the Kincade fire has increased to 60%. It has not grown in size. Firefighter injuries are up to 4, but no deaths have been recorded so far.

10/30/19

2:00: Firefighters managed to increase containment overnight to 30% despite high winds. Its acreage only increased marginally to 76,825.

10/29/19

12:30: Containment on the Kincade fire has increased to 15%, but the size of the fire has increased as well to 75,415.

10/28/19

12:30: Over the weekend, the Kincade fire reached 66,231 acres burnt, and despite a brief rise in containment Saturday, remains 5% contained. One firefighter suffered injuries

10/25/19

2:00: Governor Newsom has declared an emergency for both the Kincade and Tick Fires.

From the Office of the Governor: "Governor Gavin Newsom today issued an emergency proclamation for Sonoma & Los Angeles counties due to the effects of the Kincade Fire & Tick Fire, which have destroyed structures, threatened homes, & caused the evacuation of tens of thousands of residents. "

12:30: The fire has burned 21,900 acres and remains 5% contained. Evacuations for the town of Geyserville CA. and surrounding regions remain in affect.

Maria Fire

11/5/19

2:00: The fire has increased to 9,999 acres, but firefighters have reached 95% containment.

11/4/19

12:30: The Maria Fire which broke out Halloween night has burned 9,412 acres and is now the largest of the Southern Californian fires. Over the weekend, firefighters were able to achieve 80% containment.

Getty Fire

11/4/19

12:30: Containment has increased to 79% and the fire has not grown in size.

10/30/19

2:00: The Getty Fire has increased to 745 acres and is 27% contained. A total of twelve houses have been destroyed and five have been damaged

10/29/19

2:00: Officials are reporting that a downed power line likely sparked the Getty Fire. It is unclear who the owner is, either PG&E or Southern California Edison. Southern California has been issued an Extreme Red Flag warning for Tuesday through Thursday. It is the first of its kind.

12:30: The Getty fire is now 618 acres and 5 % contained.

10/28/19

12:30: A fire broke out near the Getty Museum this morning and is up to 400 acres with minimal containment.

Easy Fire

11/4/19

12:30: The Easy fire is 100% contained having scorched 1,806 acres.

10/31/19

12:30: The Easy fire has burned 1,491 acres and remains only 5% contained. However, the Presidential Library will likely be spared due to goat grazing around its perimeter in May.

10/30/19

2:00: The Easy Fire ignited early this morning and has already burned 1,300 acres. It is only 5% contained and poses a serious threat to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.

Other Fires

11/5/19

2:00: The Ranch fire is up to 2,000 acres and a new fire near it has burned 40 acres and is 0% contained.

11/4/19

12:30: The Ranch Fire, which flared up yesterday, has burned 600 acres north of Chico and is 15% contained.

10/31/19

12:30: Many new fires have broken out around LA. The Hill Fire is 626 acres and 80% contained, the 46 Fire is 300 acres and 5% contained, and the Copper Fire is 50 acres and 15% contained. The Tick Fire is 98% contained.

10/29/19

12:30: Containment on the Tick fire has increased to 86% and the size has not grown. The Burris Fire has burned 350 acres north of the Kincade fire since Sunday and is now 65% contained.

10/28/19

12:30: The Tick fire is up to 4,615 acres and is now 70% contained.

10/25/19

2:00: A new fire, the Sawday fire, has broken out in the Cleveland National Forest near San Diego. It is 70 acres, and 0% contained.

12:30: The Tick fire, burning near LA is only 5% contained and has grown to 4,300 acres.

Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS)

11/4/19

12:30: PG&E has restored power everywhere. Windy conditions and the accompanying PSPS are not forecast for the near future.

10/29/19

2:00: Some 40,000 PG&E customers won't even have power restored. It will remain out as part of Tuesday's PSPS.

12:30: After finishing power restoration Monday, PG&E has begun to shut off the power again due to red flag warnings for Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday. This is the third consecutive wind event with winds currently gusting around 25 mph. NOAA predicts that gusts could top 40 mph in Davis and much higher around the fires.

10/25/19

2:00: The area for proposed shutoffs does not include Davis. However, Davis will be experiencing top wind speeds between 20 and 40 mph. An interactive version of the map is available. The PG&E website has more information regarding the power shutoffs.

12:30: PG&E anticipates more power shutoffs this weekend as red flag warnings and fire weather watches return to California.
