I have to do an internship(CCJS 499) for my Criminology and Criminal Justice Studies major to graduate. I chose to do the internship at the Sonoma State University Police Department. I have been an intern at the department since the second semester of my third year. In the internship, we have class and some assignments; we also attend various events to help out and go on ride-alongs with the SSU PD and other agencies.
Below I will include the assignments from the actual internship and assignments from the "official" class: CCJS 499.Â
Fourth Year, 2nd Semester
All pictures are from Big Night, we did a tabling event. We talked to people about the police department and the internship program!
A Halloween event at SSU for kids to go and trick or treat around Sauvignon Village.
Trunk-or-Treat! We participated in this event with other police and fire agencies.
Black and Brown Series Lecture with Deputy Chief Kevin Kilgore!
In the spirit of Christmas season, some of the other interns and ambassadors from the SSU PD helped to wrap gifts and then deliver them to the kids! I dressed up as an elf!
The first picture ever taken as an intern at the PD! This was my third year, second semester!!
