What does Pal.STEM4girls offer?
My advocacy work includes:
a) STEM programs in elementary schools (in-person) via workshops and resources connecting the STEM concepts to everyday life and real-world challenges,
b) hands-on, personalized, collaborative, in-person STEM program for grade 1-6 girls,
c) offering opportunities to community organizations to involve in and support STEM in girls and spreading the word around via community events,
d) sharing of community resources and STEM activities for parents and opportunities for parents to actively engage in their girls' learning and encouraging love for STEM and building community via social media channels (facebook, X, and instagram),
e) sharing of latest research and resources to highlight the need and importance of STEM education in girls and reduce gender disparity in STEM fields via social media channels (facebook, X, and instagram),
g) fundraising towards promoting STEM Education in girls and donating STEM kits and resources to schools in elementary classrooms,
h) inviting female STEM leaders and role models to contribute in our podcast or as guest speakers to showcase careers in STEM and encourage and inspire girls to pursue and persist in STEM, and
i) encouraging female high school and university students interested in STEM to volunteer and inspire young girls to develop love for STEM fields.
