Kate and her husband have been in the neighborhood for four years. Her whole life, she has been volunteering in one way or another, so serving on the board came naturally to her. Being a problem solver and a resource for her community gives her purpose. Her life goal is to visit every continent - four down, three to go!
Rick Vail has been a resident of Palmetto Park for almost sixteen years. The main reason he wanted to become a board member was to help revive our wonderful neighborhood. Rick was spotlighted on HGTV's "Restore America" about a project of his in Savannah.
Christella has lived in Palmetto Park for over forty-five years. She serves on the board to make a difference and be a voice for residents who feel forgotten and taken advantage of She loves languages and singing. Christella has done backup vocals and sang in a choir of over 2000 voices.
Bob Burns has been a resident for three years. He wants our neighborhood to feel welcoming and neighborly to new and long-term residents alike; perhaps some nostalgia for the neighborhood he grew up in where everyone knew almost everyone else. He is one of those people who actually loves organizing and his favorite software tool is Excel because you can organize any set of tasks and thoughts there. He says some might call that an OCD Nerd but it's why being treasurer is a good place for his volunteer skills.
Ronda has lived in Palmetto Park for almost thirty-seven years. She joined the board to be part of the community. She shares a plot at the community garden with her grandson, Quinton.
Whitney Fox moved here in 2018 from NYC and was attracted to the area because of the walkability to restaurants, shops, breweries and the Pinellas Trail. She enjoys serving on the PPNA board to get to know her neighbors and contribute to the team effort of creating a close-knit community. You'll probably see her taking her new baby girl for walks in the stroller around the neighborhood or grabbing a coffee from Bandit Coffee Co.
Libby has been a resident for over six years. When she first moved to Palmetto Park, she recognized that she had professional resources to share with the neighborhood association. As time has gone on, she thinks she has gained far more from being involved in the neighborhood association than she has given. Libby feels more safe, resilient and happy being involved in the neighborhood. She was a member at St. Pete Clay at the Train Station (5th Ave South and 22nd Street) from 2003-2008. She has history as a hobby potter and hopes to get back at it soon
Jenifer has lived in Palmetto Park for over three years. She's been volunteering for most of her adult life, and finds that you get way much back more than you give. She loves this neighborhood, and wants to help make it the best it can be. Jenifer was almost a professional concert violinist. She played on the Connecticut State Orchestra while in school -- 1st chair, 2nd violin. After playing for a couple of years, she decided that writing and publishing was what she really wanted to pursue.
