Tom Lancraft is one of the major driving forces behind the community garden. We truly would not be where we are if it weren't for him! In addition to running our garden, he runs the Historic Kenwood Garden Club and hosts workshops and plants sales throughout the year.
If you would like a plot or would like to participate in the general workdays that we hold quarterly, please let him know!
Garden plots are free of charge, however, you are required to maintain your plot and participate in the workdays.
In addition to individual/family plots, there are several community plots that are growing vegetables and herbs that are free to the public for harvesting.
*Please do not harvest from a plat with a specific name on it. Only the ones marked "Community" are allowed o be taken from.
Quarterly workdays are held to clean up and maintain the property. Upcoming days can be found on our Facebook events page, until we can transition them to the website.
We have held several community events at the garden! In early 2020, we held a Low Country Boil and in 2019 we held a BBQ and had a Holiday ornament making station, as well as games to play.
