Despite UML’s stated commitment to aid students in becoming "informed citizens in a global environment" the university normalizes genocidal violence against Palestinians through its silence and reproduction of rhetoric that erases Palestinian resistance against oppression, historic and ongoing. This is a common pattern among universities across the United States, which uphold coloniality and imperialism. Evidence of this can be seen in the textbooks assigned to students, syllabi, who universities receive funding from and in how they remain complicit. It is our responsibility to be critical of our universities role in upholding imperialism and coloniality and to bear witness to peoples and struggles that face marginalization and erasure. The following educational resources uplift Palestinian people’s lived experiences. We will continue to update these resources.
