Exploring the Depths of Palau's WWII Wrecks with CCR (Closed Circuit Rebreather)
Sep 14-19, 2023

Dive headfirst into history and a relentless 6-day tec diving odyssey, exclusively tailored for the wreck aficionado!  From Sep 14-19, 2023, Palau's azure waters played host to a historic immersion in the remnants of WWII's Japanese Navy Imperial Fleet.

It was a trip down memory lane with the seasoned instructor from Take Dive, Hidenobu Yoshimura, with whom our founder, Joe G, had had the pleasure of working alongside for years during his time in Okinawa. Joe and Hide also made the transition to tec diving together. With camaraderie forged through years of collaboration, the duo ventured into the heart of tec diving in Palau, which didn't disappoint at all.

Over the span of six action-packed days, the trio explored the sunken realms of iconic wrecks, from the formidable IRO to the enigmatic T1 Kaiten. Here's the list of the known and mostly less well-known wrecks of Palau that the trio dove:

In their quest for submerged relics, they embraced the challenge of navigating some wrecks sans mooring lines – a testament to their exceptional tec prowess! 💪

The rainier weather in Palau beginning from July to September did little to impede visibility, for Palau is one of the places on earth where its wrecks never fail to unveil their secrets with unwavering clarity. Rain or shine

Tips for Budget-Friendly Flights to Palau: Part 2

Unlocking Affordable Travel: Proven Hacks for Your Palau Adventure!

Hey there, fellow adventurer! We are back with more insider tips to make your journey to Palau a breeze. If you missed our last set of tips, don't worry, we've got your back. Just click Part 1: Tips for Budget Friendly Flights to Palau and you're all covered. For those who prefer to listen or watch it, we've also attached a link to our YouTube page for an animated version of this blog.

Here are some more golden nuggets to score those wallet-friendly flights!

When it comes to booking flights, the early bird gets the worm - but remember, patience is key. Anything more than 3 months ahead is considered early. However, unforeseen circumstances can arise, so always opt for ticket options with low cancellation and change fees. Anything less than a month? Well, let's just say you might end up spending more on your ticket than your entire trip!

Currently, direct flights to Palau are available from Manila, Guam, Taipei, and Papua New Guinea. For other destinations, layovers are inevitable. Keep an eye on layover times - a stopover of more than 3 hours calls for a comfortable lounge, while anything exceeding 8 hours warrants a nearby hotel. Airports aren't exactly known for their cozy vibes, so make the most of your layovers by exploring nearby towns or attractions.

Remember, when you have a layover, ensure both your connecting flights share the same terminal. This increases the chances of checking your luggage through seamlessly. If you're not flying with the same airline, double-check that the arrival and departure terminals align. Some airports have terminals as far apart as galaxies, like trying to get from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 at Manila Airport in under 3 hours - quite the mission!

And there you have it, Part 2 of our quest for budget-friendly flights to Palau. Stay tuned for some exciting news next week that's bound to change the game. Until then, here's to a fantastic weekend filled with wanderlust! 🌟 #TravelTips #PalauEscape #BudgetFriendlyFlights #AdventureAwaits

Tips for Budget-Friendly Flights to Palau: Part 1

Unlocking Affordable Travel: Proven Hacks for Your Palau Adventure!

Hey fellow globe-trotter! Ever wondered if snagging a pocket-friendly flight to Palau is more than just a dream? The answer is a resounding YES! With a myriad of options and ever-changing prices, you can uncover flights for less than $2000. The trick lies in sifting through the details to find the one that ticks all your boxes - shortest duration, fewest stopovers, minimal layovers, and seamless luggage handling, all without breaking the bank!

Let's talk airport codes - why? Because not all Palaus are created equal! Did you know there's a city in Italy that goes by the name "Palau"? Spelled exactly the same! To ensure you land in Micronesia, not Italy, remember this: Palau's airport code is ROR, think "roar". It's named after Koror State, Palau's former capital, home to hotels, eateries, and tour operators. Curiously, the airport itself is in Airai State. Go figure!

Once you've got those airport codes down, let's explore beyond the realms of Google Flights. While Google rocks in many areas, flights aren't its forte. Turn to champions like Trip.com and Expedia.com for the lowest fares and a wide array of flight options.

Here's a nugget of wisdom: always cross-check prices. While online travel agents like Trip.com and Expedia.com have fantastic deals, don't forget to swing by the airline's website. China Airlines and United Airlines often have hidden gems that might just surprise you!

Stay tuned for Part 2 where we'll dive deeper into budget-friendly flight strategies. Until then, happy flight hunting!
