About PAIDÓS: Learning Architecture, Culture, and Pedagogical Intentionality
PAIDÓS is an original instructional design laboratory dedicated to the development of interactive, multicultural, and technologically integrated Learning Objects (LOs). We curate complex topics and transform dense content into emancipatory, ethical, and accessible learning experiences.
Our work connects academic rigor, information architecture, and applied interactivity, addressing both editorial and cultural demands.
At the helm of the laboratory is Mirella L. Ramalho, an Instructional Designer with a background combining technical project management (International Trade) and a History Teaching Degree.
She specializes in translating institutional needs into clear and engaging learning journeys, focusing on:
Didactic Transposition: Simplifying high-complexity content without losing rigor.
Multicultural Critical Curation: Decentralizing narratives and integrating diverse perspectives.
Learning Experience Design (LXD): Digital, hybrid, and print formats.
PAIDÓS emerged from real internationalization demands.
Founded on the experience of the Brasilzinho Kits project (recognized by the Consulate-General of Brazil in Munich), the laboratory expanded its work to intercultural contexts in Japan.
This global experience informs the creation of materials that are culturally sensitive and fully integrated into LMS/VLE environments such as Google for Education.
Adaptive Architecture: Learning paths structured by proficiency levels and learner profiles.
Authoring Tools: Expertise in H5P (Lumi) and advanced interactive resources.
AI with Human Curation: Generative AI supports prototyping, always validated pedagogically and authored by our team, ensuring educational coherence and rigor.
Our methodological principles come to life in projects such as the “The World of the Renaissance” platform. This global learning path integrates History, Art, and Culture through adaptive pathways (EFI, EFII, and High School), featuring multilingual navigation and interactive resources.
The project exemplifies the real-world application of PAIDÓS’ instructional architecture and multicultural curation, and is available for follow-up in our digital learning environment.
I collaborate on instructional design solutions, multicultural content curation, and the creation of interactive Learning Objects for educational, editorial, and institutional contexts.
