The last couple of days have been a whirlwind of wrapping projects up. Friday, Cristian, Giselle, Trevor, and Zach built a model beehive, finished the cabinet (added the latch), finished the weather station holder, and cleaned everything up. Derek and Dr. Basha got an early start on the weather station, trying to finish in time to install on Friday. They plodded on in their struggles with the weather station and its extra special microcontroller. By the end of the day, they were working on internal packaging and testing the system for long periods of time. With a small number of tasks remaining, they (and Zach) stayed behind to finish up while the others went out to dinner. The three celebrated the end of the little tasks with pizza.
Saturday, yet again, Dr. Basha and Derek worked on the weather station. This time they finished the external packaging and set it up for a test. We all did show-and-tell for Josh and then took the afternoon off. Giselle and Cristian went to Granada with Josh to see the sights and have dinner. Trevor and Zach ensured that someone watched the NFL playoffs in Nicaragua. Derek and Dr. Basha watched the weather station work in relief that the 86 hour project was finally over. The night ended with YouTube videos and no water so a perfectly Casa-Nica way to end the last full day of the trip.
Sunday dawned with no water either. We all packed and waited for the trip home. See you all soon!
