Registration Information
1.) See the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League website http://mnclaytarget.com/ to register (opens Feb 3, 2026) with the League and pay the $40 online League fee before March 23rd.

2.) Complete the Team 2026 Registration form and check for $200 payable to “South St. Paul Open Foundation Inc.” and mail or deliver to Larry or Robin Ross at 406 10th Ave South, SSP, MN 55075 by March 9, 2026 Registration Link
Please note: If registration and fees are not paid by the due date, students will not be allowed to participate.
MUST BE 8TH‐12TH GRADE TO JOIN
FULL FIREARM SAFETY CERTIFICATE REQUIRED by the time the season starts late March.
Guns are to be uncased at your vehicle and brought to our meeting area with the action open or barrel broken.
No guns, shells, or fired shells on school property EVER!!!!
We only shoot from the 16-yard line.
Never more than 1 shell in the gun.
Eye and ear protection and shooting vest are required to shoot.
Students are required to have their own gun, however, ammunition is paid through the club sponsorships.
Packer Trap does not receive funds from the high school and relies on community, friends and family to keep this sport going.p
Packer Trap falls under the umbrella of SSP Open Foundation which is an IRS 501(c) 3 charitable organization. If you know a business or individual who might be interested in sponsoring the team check out the sponsors page.
South St Paul High School Trap Team Jersey and shooting bag or vest required to shoot. You don't have to wear a hat, but if you do, it must be the Team hat, dress for the weather; we shoot rain or shine. We will pause inside the club house if there is lightning.
