Our Goals  

The Webelos program, now focused on 4th-grade Cub Scouts, is designed to prepare youth for a smooth transition into Scouts BSA by building independence, leadership, and responsibility. Through a mix of required and elective adventures, Webelos develop skills in personal fitness, safety, citizenship, family relationships, and outdoor activities like hiking and environmental stewardship. The program encourages exploration of personal interests through electives in areas such as STEM, the arts, and outdoor recreation, while reinforcing the core Scouting aims of character development, citizenship, personal fitness, and leadership. By offering hands-on challenges, fostering family involvement, and promoting outdoor adventure, Webelos gives Scouts the confidence and skills they need for success in the next stage of their Scouting journey. 

Summary 

The Webelos program has two major milestones - the Webelos rank badge to be earned at the 4th grade level and the Arrow of Light to be earned at the 5th grade. The final part of Webelos is bridging over into a Boy Scout troop selected individually by the scout.
