Do not enter or leave camp, a camp site, or a program area without informing a leader. In some cases, such as at the BB or archery range, explicit permission from the rangemaster is required.
No running. If running is ever permitted, it will be at specific times and circumstances such as a game.
Obey posted quiet times.
Be careful with fire.
Leave the area better than you found it. Search for and pick up trash. Help clean up. Replace firewood.
All youth at camp must be registered Cub Scouts. The only exceptions are siblings attending Pack Campouts and Day Camp, and friends and prospective Scouts attending daytime Pack or Den activities.
Do not leave camp sites and program areas without permission of adult leaders. At Camp Guyasuta this means in particular that permission must be obtained before playing Gaga Ball or going to the Trading Post.
Always use the buddy system. Buddies can be groups of 2 or 3 youth. Do not leave your buddy behind!
Check with adult leaders before bringing or using knives, even if you have already earned the right to use knives at your rank level (Bear and older).
Adults are expected to accompany their Cub Scouts at camp. Only Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts may come to camp without an adult. This option depends on the number of adults who are attending, any special issues and/or medical conditions (please note these along with your registration form), Pack committee approval, and if necessary, approval by camp staff. Only Day Camp allows a drop-off option.
YPT and clearances must be on file with the Pack and/or camp staff for all adults in a BSA camp or staying overnight at a Pack or Den campout. Follow Youth Protection requirements such two-deep leadership and never having one-on-one contact with any Scout other than your own children.
All adults must monitor youth behavior. Offer appropriate corrections and instructions. If safety is a concern or someone is injured, seek appropriate assistance from adult leaders and/or camp staff and/or call 911.
Check with adult leaders to see if woods tools (axes, saws) are appropriate. If they are not, do not bring them. If these tools are in use, a properly marked axe yard must be set up. Cub Scouts may not use these tools. Everyone must be informed to stay out of the axe yard. Store all woods tools safely.
Adults must monitor and tend to any fires. Allow Cub Scouts to gather kindling and tinder, as well as to cook hotdogs, marshmallows, etc. as appropriate for their ages. Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts have specific requirements related to fire and should be guided through them with adult supervision.
