Create a My.Scouting account for yourself (parents/guardians) at https://my.scouting.org
This is where you will see and track your own scouting experience - things like training.
You will also use your My.Scouting.org sign-on information to access several other BSA websites.
Print, fill out, sign and bring to a meeting the Medical forms parts A & B as well as a photo (head shot) of your scout.
these forms are available in the Documents section of our web page
Attend your first meeting (you can do this even if you have not finished all the above items).
Meet and greet - get to know us.
Wait until you receive an email inviting you to join the ‘Scoutbook’ website. Then login with your My.Scouting information and follow the prompts.
This is where you will see and track your scouts experience, including the Calendar, Den and Pack membership, your scout's advancement and many other items.
While you are waiting to join ScoutBook ask for a copy of the calendar for the next couple months.
Purchase a scout handbook for your scout's grade level/rank.
Read with your Cub Scout the “How to Protect Your Children from Child Abuse Guide” pamphlet found in the front of the book. Sign the last page and give to your new Den Leader.
Take the online 72 minute Youth Protection Training (YPT) available at your my.scouting.org account. We require this training of every adult before they attend their 2nd camping trip.
Acquire a Cub Scout uniform for your Scout to wear. Do this within 60 days of joining. There may be assistance available if you need it.
