Cub Scout Pack 26 of Englewood, FL is chartered by the Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary Club and meets at L.A. Ainger River Elementary School in Rotonda West, FL. Our scout hut is near downtown Englewood. The Scouts are divided into Dens based on their grade and age level (K-5). The pack is busy; hosting numerous events including a Pinewood Derby, Family camping trips, Day trips (Museums, Fishing, etc...),
Each Cub is working during the year toward earning, one of the six ranks, by completing adventures (this is the cub scout equivalent of merit badges). Most requirements can be completed by the family working together; but the Den Leader often assists in guiding the family and working on requirements during Den or Pack meetings. Your Den Leader and Cubmaster will help guide you through this process.
The Pack meets as a whole once a month on Thursdays (typically the 4th Thursday) at L.A. Ainger Middle School to promptly recognize each scout's recent achievements and for other fun adventures as desired.
Each Den determines when, where and how many times a month works best for the group. The School is available for Den Meetings every Thursday while school is in session.
Scouting operates through volunteer leadership, and we have many ways to get involved. We ask that you find a way to be involved in some fashion, although we recognize not everyone can commit to serving in a regular leadership role. Some of our needs are for annual activities such as campout planning, Pinewood Derby, cookouts, etc. Other activities occur in small bursts all year. Ask the Cubmaster how you can help!
