We are a very active pack! Here are our general timelines for activities beyond pack and den meetings. We participate in many regular BSA events as well as helping in the community through service projects like Scouting for Food, Souper Bowl of Caring, and volunteering with great organizations like Habitat for Humanity.
We host Family Campouts in September, November, February, and April in various locales across Texas (though we generally try to keep it within a 2 hour drive).

Pack 12 Raingutter Regatta Rules
Teams of 8 scouts push a homemade "car" in a relay style race against other packs in the district. Teams usually form in October or November to begin constructing cars and practicing.
A classic event enjoyed by all! Pack 12 runs heats for all ranks plus leaders and siblings. The top three finishing scouts in each rank get to race in the district races.
One of our regular service projects is collecting food for the to fill Lakewood Methodist Church's food bank, serving hundreds of families.
SHAC's Scout Fair is held annually in the Spring. It is a fabulous event where scouts of all ages converge to showcase their Scouting skills! Hundreds of booths give scouts the opportunity to earn badges, do activities or crafts, and taste camp cooking at its finest.
3 - Overnight Camp-Ins (previous camp-ins have been at the Zoo, USS Lexington, Downtown Aquarium, Space Center Houston, and others)
Unconventional Pack Meetings (instead of the more formal we usually loosen things up a bit and we may do a bike rodeo or meet at a community pool.
Orion District hosts a fun-filled day to help kids achieve their Bobcat Rank requirement in one day.
