Basic Info
Location: Camp Trask, 1100 N Canyon Blvd, Monrovia, CA 91016
Gate code: Available via "Camp Trask - Everything You Need to Know" email or the Band App (make sure you lock the gate after entering/exiting)
Directions & Parking Permit: See PDFs below; permit must be printed & displayed in your car (Cassie will have extra copies if needed)
Full Scout Uniform & Handbook required for the Saturday 9am flag ceremony
Check In / Check-Out
Check-In: Friday, Sept 26, 4–5:30pm (arriving later is possible, but it’s harder to set up after dark; sunset ~6:55pm; quiet hours at 10pm)
Check-Out: Sunday, Sept 28, 11am – clean your campsite; inspections will occur
Amenities: Bathrooms with running water (not for drinking/cooking).
Bring your own water: ~1 gallon/person/day
Attendee Fees
Camping fees: $35/person camping (1 or 2 nights); $25/person Saturday day use only
Adventure fees: cash to den leader Saturday morning
Shooting sports $15 per youth (bow and arrow, BB gun, slingshot)
Gold panning $3 per youth
Leathercraft $2 per person
Swimming $10 per person (pool is heated)
Meals
Sign-up for Pack Meals: everyone sign up for one slot per family
Please take home any leftover food items you bring (sign up only for items you don’t mind taking back)
Pack Lunch (Saturday): Sandwiches, fruits, veggies, chips, cookies
Pack Dinner (Saturday): Spaghetti, salad, dinner roll, fruits, veggies
Pack S’mores after dinner
Bring On Your Own: Friday dinner, Two breakfasts, snacks, drinks (water see above)
Scouts should help prep and clean up meals with parental guidance, without parents doing it all
Older Scouts (WeBeLos & Arrow of Light) paired with younger dens to help teach setup and cleanup
Saturday Schedule (Tentative)
9am-11am: Shooting Sports (BB guns, archery, sling shots) – bring cash
11am–11:30am: Prep Lunch (Bears/Wolves/Webelos II), Handbook/Den Skit Prep (Lions/Tigers/WeBeLos)
11:30am–12pm: Lunch
12pm–1pm: Clean up (Lions/Tigers/WeBeLos), Handbook/Den Skit Prep (Bears/Wolves/Arrow of Light)
1pm–4pm: Swimming, Leatherwork & Panning for Gold
4pm–5pm: Free Time or Handbook/Den Skit Prep
5pm–6pm: Prep Dinner (Lions, Tigers, WeBeLos), Handbook/Den Skit Prep (Bears/Wolves/Webelos II)
5pm–7pm: Prep, Eat & Clean up Dinner
Prep Dinner: Lions, Tigers, WeBeLos
Clean up: Bears, Wolves, Arrow of Light
7:00–9:00pm: Skits & S’mores
10:00pm: Lights Out / Quiet Hours
Safety
Parents must supervise their own children throughout the weekend
Shooting sports are supervised by trained rangemasters – please make sure Scouts pay attention to safety instructions
Wildlife and bears are present – stay aware, secure food, and keep campsite clean
