The Immigrant Family Empowerment: Your Advocacy Guide (available in all DOE languages) is a new resource for multilingual and immigrant families to learn about what it means to be an active member and leader of their child's academic journey and to advocate for their child’s needs. Administrators and family-facing staff should share this guide with their school community to ensure families know their rights, learn strategies to practice their advocacy, and review case studies and success stories that uplift pride and agency. The guide is available on the Family Resources page of the Multilingual and Immigrant Student Support site.
