Oxford Webster Pirates Youth Football & Cheer 9U team held a food drive for our families at the Oxford Food Shelf - and they stopped by to drop off their collection. 'Tis the season for a bowl of hot chili. The Oxford Food Shelf thanks the Oxford Assembly #89 of the International Order of Rainbow Girls for their recent donation of chili kits. The kits were a hit with our families on a recent night. They were all gobbled up before the evening was over!

Join the Oxford Ecumenical Food Shelf volunteers and others on Sunday, Oct. 19, for the annual Crop Hunger Walk.
We begin our easy 3.5-mile walk through town at the First Congregational Church on 355 E. Main St. at 1 pm. Registration at the church is at 12:30 pm.
Everyone is welcome!

The Oxford Ecumenical Council and Food Shelf is very grateful to two of our dedicated volunteers who participated in Oxford's Goodbye to Summer fair in September. They were on hand to share with residents info about the services of our food pantry and to answer questions. Thank you, both!
Food pantries are adding pet food to their shelves, including the Oxford Ecumenical Food Shelf, reports WHDH 7 News.
Much of the pet food at the Oxford Food Shelf is supplied by Second Chance Animal Services at the Second Chance Community Engagement Center, which donates to more than 20 organizations in the area.
“People are trying to feed themselves and their pets and the sad reality is that some can’t do it, says Lindsay Doray of Second Chance Animal Services.

Cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes, green beans, squash, peppers, herbs and a whole lot more have been planted in the Share Garden at the First Congregational Church of Oxford. Their harvest will come to the Oxford Food Shelf to help our families. Many thanks to all the volunteers who are making this happen!
We love our volunteers! Many turned out for our Volunteer Appreciation event. The Oxford Ecumenical Food Shelf couldn't do it without you! We also love P & D Oxford House of Pizza! They donated a dozen pizza pies to our event, which were enjoyed by all. Thank you for all you do for our community.

The Oxford Ecumenical Food Shelf participated in the second annual Senior Center Health & Wellness Fair. Christina St. Martin manned the booth where she shared info on the pantry's services with the community's seniors.
The Oxford Food Shelf thanks the women of Workout for Women in Webster for their generous donation.
The gym held a successful food drive - the members collected more than 945 pounds of groceries, paper goods, cleaning products and personal care items.

Thank you, Zion Lutheran Church, Oxford, and The Church of the Reconciliation, Webster, for participating in the Souper Bowl of Caring, the nationwide effort to tackle hunger in our local communities. Before and on Super Bowl Sunday, parishioners in the two churches collected 517 cans of soup which they generously donated to the Oxford Food Shelf and Webster Dudley Food Share.
