Are You Switching Dentists?

I’m not a big fan of having to change up things that I’m used to doing or paying for. For example, when I switched from Verizon to AT&T, it was a huge jump for me. And getting a new car? Well, I wasn’t a fan. But that’s human nature. Choosing something new can be a bit tougher than you’d like with all the resources out there to check and read up on. Normally, you’d imagine this would actually help you choose. The problem is, this often leaves you wondering which option is the best. The next thing you know, you’ve gone down a rabbit hole trying to find the best of the best and all sorts of conflicting opinions can get in your head.

When it comes to your dentist, that can be much the same experience as these other mentioned services. With all of the options, reviews, and benefits, you’ll probably be a bit torn on which dentist you want to start going to. heck, even the distance driving to and from a certain dentist matters more than you’d expect.

With that said, here are a few things to consider. We hope they help you choose a new dentist that fits your needs.

Are they welcoming new patients?

If the answer to this is no, you may as well move onto the next option. A lot of people look at this thing last. They find the perfect dentist and have their insurance accepted, but then they end up finding out that they’re not currently accepting new patients. Bummer!

What are people saying about them?

Honestly, this is where a lot of people start nowadays with the way the world is run by social media and the internet. Online reviews can be a great place to get a sense for the quality of a dentist, even if it is written by other people who may not always be the most trustworthy. Don’t take any single review on it’s own, but look for trends amongst all of the reviews.
