HiStory

Mr Lo'ren Broussard, a high performing athlete in high school participating in football, wrestling and track. He attended the regional Jr. Olympic trials in New Mexico and a walk on year at University of Arizona track. As track didn't progress, he joined the Univ. of Arizona wildcats rugby club. It was a great experince to make new friends in college. He quickly made the 1st XVs as a wing at The University of Arizona and rookie of the year. Mr Broussard was selected to Pacific coast collegiate all stars. He had many offers to transfer to high performance university rugby  programs but had no pathway or support system to advance his rugby IQ.

He moved from Tucson to the Tempe men's club in Phoenix, Az and was selected to the pacific coast grizzly select side. In his first year with Tempe mens rugby club, he took the club to its first of three national 7s and XVs championship journeys. With his speed and defensive skills, he was selected to the All star team of the International Bellingham 7s tournament early in his rugby career. Soon after, he was part of a high powered Tempe RFC 7s program and won prize money in the North American HSBC 7s tournament. Within years, he had been selected to the USA rugby league side and participated in several world 7s & 9s in Australia, world cup 13s and student rugby league world challenge in UK followed by a short contract with a semi pro English club, he later returned to the US.

As a young athlete in his 20s, he passed over many opportunities to play overseas and attend tryouts for the USA rugby Eagles 7s and 15s programs due to lack of awareness to the process or networks.

Before finishing his rugby career, he moved to the Red Mountain rugby club of Mesa/Phoenix, Az were he became a USA Rugby D2 XVs national champion.
