Affiliates are commercial entities who wish to support the work of the OLA.
- Because you believe in what we’re doing and want to support us
- Because you wish to have your name associated with the association
- Because you wish to have access to our members
- 100% of the fees from individual members of the OLA go to providing member services.
- Affiliate members pay for OLA overheads and programs:
o website and emails
o insurances
o annual business registration
o financial systems (software and bookkeeper) and financial compliance
o annual awards and scholarships
- Accountant (who can do tax for outdoor leaders)
- Insurers (who can insure them recreationally)
- RTO’s: access to members
- Employers: access to members
- Uni’s advertising higher ed?
- Gear retail/wholesale: access to members and data
- Skills IQ, and other peaks like ONSW: access to members
