Our Lady of Mercy Academy (OLMA), originally known as Our Lady Of Mercy High School, was founded by the Oblates of Saint Joseph through Rev. Fr. Vito Sorrenti, OSJ, in 1961. Named after the parish patroness, the Nuestra Señora de la Merced, the school began with only 42 students being taught inside a vacant room of the parish convent. The pioneering educators, Mr. Marcelino Martinez from Calamba, Laguna, and Ms. Emiliana Magnalac of Mabini, Batangas, laid the foundation for OLMA's growth.
We are the community of servant leaders committed to the development of the fullness of personhood with the charism and the spirituality of the Oblates of Saint Joseph Marello as the guiding Philosophy.
We are dedicated to serve by way of excellent academic instructions, spiritual information, values enrichment and community involvement imbued with the spirit of patriotism for the benefits of our students, parents, alumni, and the community a large. We sheperd them through a journey towards the attainment of the full meaning of life.
Inspired by the Josephite-Marellian spirituality, we envision a leading educational institution.
Perpetuating excellence in the provision of a variety of curricular and co-curricular programs responsive to global requirements through the application of accumulated wealth of wisdom and state-of-the-art technologies.
That is capable of sustaining viability and growth; and
Whose community members have an isatiable quest to be exemplars in character, competence and achievements and our life-long adherents to the philosphy of the institution and the truism that "to teach is to touch a life forever".
