Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PureSound (“PureSound”, “the app”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) processes information when you use the PureSound Android application.
Developer / Data Controller: Cem Gundogmus
PureSound is intended for users aged 18 or older. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
1. Information We Process
a) Account and authentication information
PureSound automatically creates an anonymous Firebase Authentication account identifier. This identifier allows processing requests, credits, Premium access, purchases, and rewards to be associated with the correct user.
If you choose to connect a Google account, Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication may process account identifiers and basic profile information made available by Google, such as your email address and display name.
b) Video, audio, and subtitle information
When you select a video and start processing, PureSound may process:
- The video you selected
- Audio extracted from the selected video
- File information such as file name, size, format, and duration
- Cleanup and subtitle settings selected by you
- Generated transcripts, subtitle segments, translations, and subtitle files
- The processed output video
- Processing identifiers, status information, and error information
This information is processed only when you start an audio-cleanup or subtitle operation.
Videos and audio may contain personal information belonging to you or other people. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to upload and process the content you select.
c) Account, credit, and Premium information
We process information required to manage your PureSound account and entitlements, including:
- Anonymous or Google-linked account identifier
- Free, rewarded, purchased, and subscription credit balances
- Premium entitlement and subscription status
- Credit reservations and processing usage
- Rewarded-ad sessions and reward-verification records
d) Purchase information
Purchases and subscriptions are handled through Google Play Billing. To verify purchases, restore entitlements, and prevent the same purchase from being used more than once, we may process:
- Product identifier
- Purchase token
- Order identifier
- Purchase date or completion time
- Purchase, consumption, and subscription status
- An account identifier protected through hashing or obfuscation
We do not receive or store your full payment-card details. Payment information is processed independently by Google Play.
e) Advertising and consent information
PureSound uses Google AdMob to display rewarded and interstitial advertisements to users who do not have an ad-free entitlement.
Google and its advertising partners may process information such as:
- Advertising identifiers and other device identifiers
- IP address and approximate location inferred from it
- Device model, operating system, language, and app version
- Ad impressions, interactions, clicks, and diagnostic information
- Rewarded-ad verification information
- Consent and privacy choices
PureSound does not request permission to access your precise location.
Where required, PureSound uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request and manage advertising consent and privacy choices.
f) Technical and security information
Our infrastructure and service providers may process technical information needed to operate and protect the service, including:
- Firebase Authentication tokens
- Firebase App Check and Google Play Integrity information
- Request timestamps, network information, and IP address
- Processing locks and rate-limit records
- Service, security, and error logs
- Information used to prevent abuse, duplicate rewards, purchase misuse, and fraud
g) Information stored locally on your device
PureSound may store the following information locally:
- Recent import history
- Video file names, local paths, durations, and timestamps
- Locally generated video thumbnails
- Temporary or cached processed videos
- App preferences
Using “Clear cache” removes temporary processed files and cached previews. It does not remove your recent-import history, original videos, or videos saved to your gallery.
Recent-import information, thumbnails, and app preferences may remain until you remove them where the app provides that option, delete your PureSound account, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the app.
Original videos and videos that you deliberately save to your Photos or Gallery app remain under your control and are not automatically deleted when you clear the PureSound cache or delete your PureSound account.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide audio cleanup, transcription, subtitle generation, subtitle translation, preview, saving, and sharing features
- Create and maintain user sessions
- Manage credits, Premium access, subscriptions, and purchase restoration
- Verify Google Play purchases and rewarded-ad credits
- Display and measure advertisements
- Respect advertising consent and opt-out choices
- Detect abuse, fraud, duplicate rewards, and unauthorized purchase use
- Maintain service security, reliability, and performance
- Troubleshoot failed processing requests
- Comply with legal, financial, and regulatory obligations
3. AI and Media Processing
PureSound uses third-party processing providers to perform its core features.
When subtitle processing is enabled, audio extracted from the selected video is sent to the Google Gemini Developer API for transcription and, where requested, translation.
When audio cleanup is enabled, extracted audio is sent to Replicate and the selected cleanup model for processing.
These AI providers receive extracted audio rather than the complete video file.
These providers process submitted content under their own terms, privacy policies, and retention practices. PureSound itself does not use your videos, audio, transcripts, or subtitles to train artificial-intelligence models.
4. Service Providers
We use the following service providers where necessary to operate PureSound:
- Google Firebase Authentication for anonymous and Google-linked accounts
- Google Cloud services, including Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, and Cloud Tasks, for account data, backend processing, and temporary file infrastructure
- Firebase App Check and Google Play Integrity for service protection
- Google Sign-In for optional Google account connection
- Google Gemini Developer API for subtitle transcription and translation
- Replicate for audio-cleanup processing
- Google Play Billing for purchases and subscriptions
- Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform for advertising, rewarded ads, and privacy choices
- Google Play services for app distribution, purchase restoration, reviews, and platform functionality
Information processed by these providers is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies:

5. Legal Bases
Depending on your location and applicable law, we process information based on one or more of the following:
- Providing the service you request
- Your consent
- Our legitimate interests in operating, protecting, and maintaining the service
- Compliance with legal, financial, and regulatory obligations
Where available, you may withdraw advertising consent or update eligible privacy choices through the Privacy option in the app.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information for monetary compensation.
We may disclose information:
- To the service providers needed to operate the app and complete the processing you request
- To advertising and consent providers according to your choices and applicable law
- When required by law, legal process, or a valid government request
- When necessary to protect users, prevent fraud, or secure the service
Certain advertising-related disclosures may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under some United States privacy laws. Eligible users can use the privacy choices presented in the app to opt out.
7. Data Retention
PureSound retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.
- PureSound-controlled temporary uploads, extracted audio, subtitle files, processed output files, and processing-job records are normally scheduled for deletion approximately one hour after processing completes or fails.
- Stale, interrupted, or abandoned processing jobs are scheduled for safety cleanup, generally within 24 hours.
- Files uploaded through the Google Gemini Files API may be stored by Google for up to 48 hours.
- Replicate states that API prediction inputs, outputs, files, and logs are normally removed automatically after approximately one hour by default.
- Account, credit, entitlement, and subscription information may be retained while your account remains active.
- Security and service logs may be retained for a limited period where necessary to protect and troubleshoot the service.
- Local recent-import information, thumbnails, preferences, and cached files remain on your device until removed as described in this policy.
- Original videos and videos saved to your device gallery remain until you delete them.
- Minimized and anonymized purchase-protection records may be retained where necessary to prevent duplicate purchase use, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet legal or financial obligations.
- Google Play Billing records and information independently controlled by service providers are retained according to those providers’ policies.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Request access to personal information associated with you
- Request correction or deletion
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent
- Opt out of eligible advertising-related sale or sharing
- Lodge a complaint with a relevant data-protection authority
Where available, you can update advertising privacy choices through the Privacy option in PureSound.
You may also contact us using the form provided in the Contact section below.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authenticated requests, Firebase App Check, Google Play Integrity, access controls, limited-duration processing files, and encrypted network connections.
No storage or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International Processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, international processing and transfers are handled under applicable legal safeguards and the service providers’ contractual terms.
11. Children’s Privacy
PureSound is intended only for users aged 18 or older and is not directed to children or minors under 18.
We do not knowingly permit individuals under 18 to use the service. If you believe that a person under 18 has provided information through PureSound, contact us so that we can review and delete it where appropriate.
12. Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your PureSound account from inside the app:
Settings → Delete account
If a video is currently being processed, you must finish or cancel that process before deleting your account.
Account deletion removes your Firebase Authentication account and PureSound-controlled account data, including credit balances, Premium entitlement information, processing-job records, temporary media files, rewarded-ad sessions, credit reservations, and local PureSound account data.
Deleting your PureSound account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription. You must cancel the subscription separately through Google Play.
Original videos and videos already saved to your device gallery are not deleted because they remain under your control on your device.
After deletion, PureSound may create a new anonymous session so that the app can continue to function. This new identifier is separate from the deleted account and does not restore deleted information, credits, or Premium access.
If you cannot access the app, you may submit an external deletion request. Instructions and information about the data deleted or retained are available at:
https://sites.google.com/view/ourgames-privacy-policy/puresound-account-deletion
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, service providers, or applicable obligations change.
Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date on this page.
14. Contact
For privacy questions, rights requests, or account-deletion requests, use the following form:
In your request, state whether you are submitting a privacy question, rights request, or account-deletion request.
