Our New 'Season of Dreams' Released on Global Server.
The season reward Hat was very similar to traditional Korean hat called ‘Gat’, so many Koreans were excited that finally Korean related item got released.
but the complain from China. “That Hat is from Chinese Culture”
about that, Korean user contact TGC and asked for the Source or Reference of the reward item.
TGC said, “Sky is a fictional world whose elements are not strictly tied to real world ones. Our TGC does not plan to share the Cultural Inspiration behind the Art because we want to leave it to our community’s imagination to shape the world of Sky in manner that suits their worldview”.
So, our Korean decided not to deal with Chinese Opinions.
Time passed, the 'Season of Dreams' released China Server too. but the reward hat was not the same designed hat as Global Server. Because of this, All of Chinese claims to ‘Release the two of Hat's Inspiration and Reference’.
NetEase(China Server Managing Company) saids the Two Hat is from China Culture,
after that, all of Chinese claims to Head of TGC : Jenova Chen, to release the hat's inspiration too.

which Two of Item ‘inspirations from Chinese Song and Ming Dynasties’ headwear’. This remark is obviously broken their own rules “TGC does not plan to share the Cultural Inspiration behind the Art”.
This was very shocking and hurtful to International Users including Koreans. This Reckless Remark is the exemplification of Ruins Cultural Diversity and Equality.
We asked to TGC where is the equality for Sky. but our mention about 'China' was deleted and banned on Official Discord.
Many users cannot endure the hurt from Jenova’s remarks and had to say farewell to their dear friends.
Feb 9. 4 pm (KR time) TGC’s Apology posted.
However, that Post was about Apology for process of design without considering the Whole Community. We did not want this kind of Apology, this is obviously out of point.
Our demand is <Apologies for why the Head of TGC reflects the Chinese culture, which is 'strictly tied' to Real World, in the Sky: Fictional World>.
and also, Apology was just Sorry for Korean not includes what happened. this could be misleading to reader.
That Apology was unkind to many users who did not know this case. and was disappointed to Koreans and Global Users which were hoping for TGC's true apology.

2021년 1월 4일, 댓게임컴퍼니(이하, TGC)가 운영하는 Sky 빛의 아이들에서 새로운 시즌, 꿈의 시즌이 출시되었다.
꿈의 시즌의 보상에는 한국의 전통모자 '갓'과 유사한 디자인이 있어,
한국인들은 드디어 Sky에 한국관련 아이템이 나왔다는 것에 들떠있기도 하였고, 한 편으로는 우려도 있었다.
하지만 아니나 다를까 중국에서의 주장 : 한국인들이 주장하는 저 모자는 중국의 문화이다.
우리는 Sky 공식 고객센터에 문의를 넣었다. "더 이상의 문화적 충돌이 없도록 해당 아이템의 출처와 참고자료를 밝혀달라."
TGC의 답변은 "Sky는 현실세계와 엄격하게 분리되어있는 허구의 세계이다, 우리 TGC는 앞으로 어떤 문화적 영감을 공개할 계획이 없다"이었다.
이에 한국인은 더이상 중국의 주장에 반박하지 않기로 했다.
시간이 지나, Sky 중국서버에도 꿈의 시즌이 출시되었다. 하지만 중국서버에는 글로벌서버에서 출시된 해당 아이템과는 다른 디자인으로 출시되었다. 이에, 중국인들은 해당 아이템의 출처와 참고자료를 밝혀라고 했으며, 중국서버 운영회사 넷이즈(NetEase) 측은 해당 2개의 아이템은 모두 중국 문화에서 비롯되었다고 밝혔다. 그 후 TGC대표 제노바 첸에게도 해당 아이템의 출처와 레퍼런스를 밝히라고 했다.
2021년 2월 4일, 웨이보와 트위터에 올라온 제노바의 입장은
2개의 아이템은 모두 중국의 송나라와 명나라 시대에서 따온 모자이다. 이 발언은 명백히 TGC가 스스로 언급한 "TGC는 앞으로 어떤 문화적 영감을 공개할 계획이 없다"에 반하는 발언이었다.
이것은 문화적 존중과 평등, 문화적 다양성을 위배하는 망언이었으며, 모든 해외 유저들과 한국유저들에게 충격을 안겨주었다.
우리는 평화와 평등이 있는 Sky가 어디에 있는지 TGC에 물었다. 하지만 공식 디스코드 서버에서 우리의 중국과 관련한 모든 이야기는 삭제되고 벤 되었다.
많은 유저들이 제노바의 발언에 상처를 입고, 게임 내에서 만난 친구들과 이별을 해야했다.
그리고 마침내 2월 9일 TGC의 사과문.
하지만 해당 사과문은 그저 아이템 디자인 과정에서 커뮤니티 내에서 어떤 갈등을 초래할 수 있는지 고려하지 않고, 디자인 했다는 내용의 사과문이었다.
또한 무슨 일이 일어났는지에 대한 자세한 상황 설명도 없이, 그저 "한국인 유저들에게 미안하다" 라는 얼핏 들어선 오해를 유발시킬 수도 있는 내용을 지니고 있었다. 사건을 모르고 있는 많은 유저들과 진정한 사과를 바라고 있던 한국인들과 전세계 유저들에게 있어 매우 불친절한 사과문이었다.

2つのアイテムはすべて、中国の宋と明の時代から取った帽子である。この発言は、明らかにTGCが自ら言及した「TGCは今後どのような文化的インスピレーションを公開する計画はない」に反する発言だった。
これは文化的尊重と平等、文化の多様性を違反する妄言であり、すべての海外のユーザーと韓国ユーザーに衝撃を与えた。
私たちは、平和と平等があるSkyがどこにあるかTGCに尋ねた。しかし、公式ディスコードサーバーで、私たちの中国と関連するすべての話は削除され、ベンた。
多くのユーザーがジェノバの発言に傷を着て、ゲーム内で出会った友達と別れをしなければならいた。
2月9日TGCの謝罪文が上がってきた。
