Over the past few years, I’ve served in Student Congress as a Legislator, Legislative Majority Leader, and now as Speaker of the Legislature. In each of these roles, I’ve witnessed firsthand the power of student voices and the impact we can make when we come together to advocate for change. My decision to run for Student Body President is rooted in a simple belief: every student deserves to be heard, valued, and represented.
For the past year and a half, I have been an active member of Student Congress, serving as the director of outreach, co-chair, and interim chair of the Student Activities Funding Board (SAFB). As Vice President, I would ensure better advocacy infrastructure for student employees, create student-led safety initiatives, facilitate legislative professionalism, and support the president's efforts.
Since May 2024, I have had the privilege of serving as a legislator in Student Congress, promoting diversity and inclusion and striving to be a voice for many. I’ve worked on multiple OUSC initiatives, including public engagement events and maintaining the free period product dispensers. I've made it a priority to show up for all students, and this year, I hope to expand Student Congress's reach and show up for every student.
