Equity, diversity, and inclusion are central goals of the Ottawa Mathematics and Statistics Conference and its activities. Through equity, we aim to eliminate barriers and biases to ensure every participant has an equal opportunity to access and benefit from this conference. In promoting diversity, we bring together the rich perspectives of each and every participant. Finally, inclusion guarantees all participants are equally valued, respected, welcomed, and supported within the conference community. 

Our conference’s mission is to foster mathematical and statistical innovation and excellence to the benefit of our participants. Therefore, the OMSC’s Organizers are committed to:  

• Support equitable access to all members in exchanging their research contributions.

• Promote a multi-perspective integration in the conference and its activities.

• Act to increase an inclusive environment by creating a welcoming and safe space for all and retaining a diverse group of participants.

We acknowledge our participants to be diverse with different personal, cultural, and disciplinary backgrounds. The OMSC is committed to advancing a diverse and inclusive community in its practices that encourages, engages, and honours those contributors in the field. The OMSC and respective executive leadership at all levels understand and support these principles and activities.
