When and Where
The 2024 OMSC will be held at the University of Ottawa from May 22nd to May 24th.
Specifically, it will be held in the SITE building (800 King Edward Ave, Ottawa, ON K1N 6N5), which is accessible either by King Edward Avenue or by the footpath extending from Louis-Pasteur Private.
The conference will take place mainly in two rooms. Academic activities, including the keynote talks, student talks, and more, will take place in SITE H0104. Registration, coffee breaks, and lunches will take place in SITE A0150 and the adjacent entrance hall (more details below). Social events will take place on and off campus.
Registration begins at 9:00am each day, and academic activities go from 9:30am to about 4:00pm. Social events will be held in the evenings (see the social activities page for more details). A detailed schedule is below.
Lunches and Refreshments
The OMSC will provide a free lunch to all registered participants during each of the three days of the conference! Lunch will be served in SITE A0150 or the adjacent entrance hall. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and halal options will be provided. If you have a dietary restriction, please indicate it on your registration form. Participants will need to show their nametags (picked up during registration at the beginning of the conference) to get their lunch.
The OMSC will also provide coffee, tea, and light snacks in between the academic activities. These will also be served in SITE A0150 or the adjacent entrance hall.
