Here's a breakdown of the Over the Rainbow Bonspiel registration process:

Key Dates & Times (all Eastern Time):

• Online Registration Opens: Link on the Rainbow Rockers Curling League website opens Sunday, October 19th at 8:00 PM.

• Online Registration Closes: Wednesday, October 22nd at 8:00 PM.

• Confirmed & Waiting Lists Published: Published live on Thursday, October 23rd at 8:00 PM on the bonspiel website.

Team Allocation & Spots:

• Total Teams: 40.

• Local Teams: 20 spots, with corresponding waiting list.

• Out-of-Town Teams: 20 spots, with corresponding waiting list.

Pre-Registration Invitations (up to 7 spots):

• Pre-registrations: Of the 40 spots, up to 7 may be filled through per-registration invitation.

• Previous Year's Champions: 1 spot (declined in 2025).

• Major Sponsors: 6 spots (4 accepted in 2025).

• Note: Any declined pre-registration spots return to the main registration pool.

Registration Process for Remaining Spots:

• Method: First past the post, based on online registration timestamp.

• Duplicate Entries: Only the first timestamp for a team will be considered.

Waiting List and Late Entries:

• Waiting List Order: Based on online registration timestamp.

• Filling Vacancies: If a confirmed team drops out, the next team on the corresponding waiting list will be offered the spot.

• Late Entries: Teams contacting the committee after 8:00 PM on October 22nd will be added to a Late Entities List in the order their request is received and would be selected once the waiting lists have been exhausted.
