Throughout the year the Otis PTA coordinates and hosts a number of events that build community, educate our Owls, and raise funds to support programs at Otis.
Read about many of our events and programs below.
The Otis Summer Scholars Program is an opportunity to engage the minds (and hearts) of our Otis Owls and help prevent “summer slide,” where kids can lose up to 3 months of learning.
On a Saturday in October, the Otis blacktop fills with games, food, a haunted house, and other fun activities.
The Otis Fall Carnival is one of the most popular and fun events at Otis.
The school-wide annual Read-a-Thon is a fundraiser where students gather donations from friends, family, and neighbors, then read as much as possible over the course of the several week event.
Parents are encouraged to help their children gather “pledges” during Read-a-Thon and help children track their reading.
All funds raised go to the PTA to support students, classrooms, and Otis programs.
Hosted by Parliament, Otis's Math and Science Night is a chance for everyone to get together and do hands-on math and science activities! Super fun!
The Otis Spring Fling is an annual party (for adults only) that includes live and silent auctions where everyone can bid on donated goods and services.
The proceeds from Spring Fling (including ticket sales) go to the Otis PTA to fund essential programs for our students.
Otis's own community music festival! A can't miss annual event. It even has its own Facebook page!
The Otis Plant Sale is a critical fundraiser for the Garden Docent Program at Otis and we need volunteers to grow plants and donate garden items.
