Occupational Therapists in Post-secondary Settings

Who are we?

We are an international learning community of occupational therapy practitioners who provide services or support to students in post-secondary settings.  We want to see this area of practice grow so that all students across the globe can have access to occupational therapy services if they need them.  We want OTs to feel confident providing the right types of services in an academic setting.

What are we doing?

We are developing a resource for OTs who are interested in this work (this website is just the start!).  On this website you will find various content: information about how to get started in this area of practice and what to do when you get there (including handouts and helpful resources).  We plan to host CEU events and informational sessions as we continue to grow.

Our mission

We are a group of occupational therapy practitioners and educators offering resources to clinicians and students working in or wanting to establish practices in post-secondary settings, in order to assure that the services provided meet the needs of the student service users. We empower occupational therapy professionals to work within the higher education landscape by defining the distinct value of occupational therapy and helping practitioners to work within their scope of practice and expertise.

Our vision

We want to be the guiding force for OTs aspiring to work on campuses of higher education to assure services for all students. We want to see that each student can achieve optimal health, wellness, and academic success.
