Briefs on the Wilaya of Djelfa

The Wilaya of Djelfa is located in the central part in the heart of Northern Algeria beyond the southern foothills of the Atlas Tellien coming from the North whose chief town of Wilaya is 300 kilometers south of the capital,

Erected as a Wilaya in favor of the administrative division of 1974, this part of the territory with a total area of 32,256.35 km² representing 1.36% of the total area of the country is currently composed of 36 municipalities grouped into 12 Dairate.

It is limited: to the north by the Wilaya of Médéa and Tissemsilt, to the east by the Wilaya of M’Sila and Ouled djellal, to the west by the Wilaya of Tiaret and the wilaya of Laghouat, and finaly from the south by the wilaya of Ghardaia and the wilaya of Touggourt.
