OSFSD2022 (1st workshop) - Open Source & Free Software Day
OSFSD-2022 is the first scientific day on free and open source software that took place on the 23rd of March 2022, at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology – University of Tissemsilt. The manifestation is organized by the Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC) and in partnership with the Applied Mechanics Laboratory (LMA) of the Faculty of Mechanics, University of Sciences and Technology, Mohamed Boudiaf, Oran.
The objective of the scientific day is to promote the use of free/open source software and the sensitization of the academic community on intellectual property in order to reduce the use of non-original (illegal) versions.

Briefs on the Wilaya of Tissemsilt
The wilaya of Tissemsilt is located in the west of Algeria exactly in the high plateau region, it is bordered by the wilaya of Ain Defla to the north, Relizane and Chlef to the west, by the wilaya of Médéa to the east, and finally by Tiaret and the wilaya of Djelfa to the south. It has an area of 3,152 km2 and is administratively divided into 22 communes and 08 dairas and its population is 294,477 inhabitants, i.e. a density of 93 inhabitants per km2.
The relief of Tissemsilt is made up of 3 main geographical regions: the mountainous area which occupies 65% of the total area of the wilaya, the high plains area which represents 25% of the overall area and the steppes which cover 10% of the territory. of the wilaya. The climate of the wilaya is Mediterranean and is characterized by a cold and humid winter and a hot and dry summer, precipitation is low and varies between 400 and 500 mm per year.
The wilaya of Tissemsilt contains a very large number of tourist sites and exceptional landscapes such as the forests of the El Midad barn which are home to many animal and plant species and three thermal springs. We can also cite historical archaeological zones such as the tower of Prince Abdelkader and the archaeological sites of Ain Torkia, Taza and Ain Sefra.
The city attaches great importance to agriculture, the agricultural area used is 145,465 hectares, the main agricultural activities in this wilaya are cereal and fodder production and sheep, cattle and horse breeding.
