OSFS-Meca2024 is the second seminar on Free and Open Source software applied in mechanical engineering. The event will take place on May 30, 2024, at the Faculty of Science and Technology of University of Abdelhamid Ibn Badis, Mostaganem and with partnership of the Laboratory of Numerical and Experimental Modeling of Mechanical Phenomena (LMNEPM).
The OSFS started with OSFSD-2022, and continued with the OSFS-Meca 2023. Both events were held at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Tissemsilt University, with partnership of the Applied Mechanics Laboratory (LMA) of the Faculty of Mechanics, University of Science and Technology, Oran.
The continuity with OSFS-Meca 2024 aims to focus on the application of the free and open source code and software in mechanics. The conference is mainly interested in scientific work using open source codes, free sofware and original programs which allow users to map and solve complex problems. The main purpose of OSFS-Meca2024 is to bring together the national community of the Open Source sofware, and to raise awareness among all researchers, PhD students and academics of the interest to effectively use this kind of solution.
