I have been passionate about photography since I first bought an early smartphone that had a camera in my mid teens. I then inherited my father's Nikon D7500, which I used for some early professional work. Soon after, I upgraded to a Nikon D750 that I used to capture practically all of the photos presented below.
As my professional work increased, I interned with photographer Nick Gilbert, from whom I learnt a great deal about the technical fundamentals of modern DSLR photography and editing practices. Recently, I have switched to a Sony A7rIV, which I have used for audiovisual documentation of Southeast Asian musical traditions, see my field recordings page.
My photos have been published in the Chicago Tribune, Sydney Morning Herald, CutCommon Magazine, and Limelight Magazine.
I have been invited to take photos of Gamelan Çudamani, The Song Company, Steinway Australia, Rockdale Opera Company, Claire Chase, Backstage Music, Cosplay RTX, St Andrew’s Cathedral Choir, Ensemble MUSE, Ensemble Offspring, KonzertProjekt, Celebrating Life in Music, Bach Akademie, and the Australian Romantic and Classical Orchestra (ARCO).
