Chemical Manufacture of Hydrochloric Acid from Sodium Chloride and Sulfuric Acid
We see that the demand for Hydrochloric acid in Indonesia is high and the supply is low so there reason why Indonesia still imports this compound. This background make us make a design plan for a Hydrochloric acid factory to overcome this problem. I responsible for design a Hydrochloric acid plant using salt sulfuric acid process with capacity of 480.000 tonnes. I calculated the capacity, economic, design of equipment, utility, mass and energy balance. The design can be used as reference to design the Hydrochloric acid plant in 2025
Responsibilty:
Projection capacity of factory plant based on economic condition for 5 years later
Calculate the need for factory establishment from mass and energy balance, utilities, design equipment, and economic factor
Design PFD and P&ID for process production
Result from the project:
Estimated mass and energy requirements for each unit of production based on capacity as references for plant construction
