The Oro Youth Development Office seeks to empower the youth to become engaged citizens for a progressive and equitable Cagayan de Oro City.

The OYDO serves as the secretariat and technical assistant to the Oro Youth Development Council, to this end, it shall develop systems and programs to strengthen the participation of various youth sectors in the governance process.

The OYDO shall serve as the city’s hub for youth development and empowerment, to this end, it shall invest in leadership trainings, network building, and comprehensive skill capacity initiatives to vitalize the value of the youth in nation building.

The OYDO shall advance democracy building and citizenship engagement in all aspects of its programs. To this end, it shall inculcate the values of its network, partners, and officers the value of people’s participation, grassroots organising, critical thinking, and nation building.
